Eco-design

is an approach to designing products with special consideration for the environmental impacts of the product during its whole lifecycle (procurement, manufacture, use, disposal). Eco-design products are made with fewer natural resources, use recycled and renewable resources and/or use components that last longer and are easier to maintain, repair, upgrade and recycle.
